Laishram Monika Devi, who was withdrawn from the Indian Olympic contingent on Tuesday night just before she was to take the flight to Beijing for testing positive for an anabolic salt in a test conducted on June 29, has now claimed that she has been a victim of politics. Addressing a press conference to claim her innocence, Monika said she doesn't know how she tested positive for a banned substance. Monika was India's lone entrant in the 69 kg category and had won a silver and two bronze in the Asian Championships in Japan in May this year.
