Rajasthan Royals won very first IPL Tournament

And a reported profit of about $100 million for the BCCI and the least expensive side in the tournament the Rajasthan Royals proved that monetary value wasn't a deciding factor, winning 13 of their 16 matches to win the very first IPL Tournament.


    Pathan walked away with the man of the match in the final game while Watson is the man of the series. Tanvir, for his 22 wickets, won the purple cap. The orange cap for the highest scorer went to Shaun Marsh of Kings XI Punjab. Warne's side received a cheque of USD 1.2 million (4.8 Crores Rs.) while the runners-up Chennai got half that amount.
